Welcome to our website, we hope that you enjoy it. We really enjoy our cockers. We decided to get into this breed after we did a lot of researching into dogs in general. I (Bryan) have a lot of allergies and most of the dogs that I have come across I am allergic to. We were also interested because of the size and temperament for our children. We started out in a fairly small house and knew a big dog would be too much. We have received a lot of compliments on how beautiful and sweet they are, they have such exceptional dispositions. They really are the forever two year old. If you want a baby forever this is the breed to have. All three of our kids love our dogs and from day one after the puppies are born our children are helping take care of them, holding and playing with them. We believe socializing is very important from birth.
We decided after doing a lot of researching into cockers specifically to become breeders. We strive to breed healthy, well tempered, beautiful dogs that are kid-friendly. We also strive to stay within AKC standards for the breed. We have their eyes certified and their hips OFA'd. We have a vet that we have contact with on a regular basis. We continually research health problems that may occur with cockers. We are not in the "show" at this time but have considered it and are still seriously considering it.
We are now a licensed business in the State of Washington. We have been inspected by the USDA and have been told that we are not required to be licensed, so we are not USDA licensed. Because we do not sell to pet stores, wholesale puppies and we do not have four or more breeding females in a given year. We will not sell to brokers or third parties. We will not let anyone else handle any shipping arrangements but us. The inspector, who is a licensed vet, liked what she saw here and said we are doing a good job. We feel that it is very important to stay within the laws that govern us. We are a small breeder and do not want to get any bigger than we are at this time. We think that research is very important to get the right pet for the right person. Here are some books that we have read that we would recommend to anyone that is seriously thinking about getting a cocker: The World of Cocker Spaniel, The American Cocker Spaniel, American Kennel Club Dog Care and Training, The New Owner's Guide To Cocker Spaniels, The essential Cocker Spaniel, and The Proper Care of Cocker Spaniels. We also subscribe to The Whole dog Journal, Your Dog, and Dog Watch. I have gained a lot of information from these newsletters. We will continue to update as we come across more books. If you have any books or articles to recommend we would welcome this knowledge.
We can ship puppies. We use either Delta Dash or Northwest Airlines to ship cross-country. We use Alaska Airlines to ship on the west coast. We want to say thank you for visiting our site and enjoy the pictures.
